Children’s Day Celebration - 14th November 2019.

Children’s day in celebrated in India to Commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Occasion in celebrated on 14th November every year with grat splendour and grandeur.

Teachers of Karthigeyan matric. Hr. Sec. School. Organize different cultural programs and events for students. Teachers disguise themselves as children and present dramas and dances for their beloved students. A sumptuous lunch was given to the students

Food Fest - 23rd November 2019

The Food Fest was held at Karthigeyan Matriculation Higher Secondary School on 23.11.19. This was the first year of the festival in the theme of “EAT CLEAN AND GREEN. EAT ORGANIC” and the festival attracted a crowd of around 500 visitors along with students on that day. The whole school was decorated with vibrant colour, garlands, posters and banners reflecting the creativity of the students.

The festival was aimed to popularize the traditional food with explicit references of origin and mainly initiate the organic food importance among the students and visitors. It was also aimed at grooming the leadership and entrepreneur skills of the students and gives them exposure to display their passion in culinary, art and games.

The celebration started with the prayer song followed by the lighting the lamp by Ms.Jeevalatha, Vice president, Mr.Selvaraj, Director, and Ms.Dharani, principal. Welcome Address was given by Ms.Dharani.  The dignitaries on the dais were presented with mementos. Then followed by key note address given by Dr.G.Nithya on the topic “organic food and its benefits” and also the main objective of the food fest. Then after her address musical entertainment was given by Ms.Swarna and she played the divine instrument “veena” and made the gathering in a pleasure mood. Then vice president Ms.Jeevalatha and Mr.Selvaraj, Director, inaugurated the food fest by cutting ribbon in the stall.

The students of all classes participated in this fest and are not culinary experts but young and enthusiastic foodies who had set up various stalls selling food ranging from organic and traditional. There around seven stalls were opened on that day.
